    Welcome to Rimori! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Rimori, a language learning platform operated by Sumday AB ("we," "our," or "us").

    By accessing or using Rimori, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

    Rimori is a comprehensive language learning platform that provides personalized learning experiences through various features including:

    • • AI-powered language assistance and content generation
    • • Progress tracking and accomplishment systems
    • • Guild (team) collaboration features
    • • User-generated and shared learning content

    Platforms: Rimori is available as a web application and mobile applications for Android and iOS.

    Account Requirements

    Account Registration

    To use Rimori, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information and keep it up to date.

    Age Requirements

    You must be at least 13 years old to use Rimori. If you are under 13, you may only use Rimori with parental consent and supervision.

    Account Security

    You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

    Availability

    Rimori is available globally. We store and process all data within the European Union in compliance with GDPR and other applicable data protection laws.

    Pricing and Billing

    Pricing Models

    Rimori offers the following pricing options:

    • Free Plan: Access to basic features at no cost
    • Subscription Plans: Monthly or annual subscriptions for premium features
    • Enterprise Plans: Custom pricing for organizations with advanced needs

    Payment Methods

    We accept payments through:

    • • Invoice billing for enterprise customers

    Subscription Renewals

    Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.

    Taxes

    Cancellation

    You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods, except as covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee.

    User Content and Data Ownership

    Content You Create

    Users can upload and create the following types of content:

    • • Text content (notes, exercises, learning materials)
    • • Audio recordings for language practice

    Content Processing

    • Audio: Audio recordings are not permanently stored. They are processed temporarily for language learning purposes and then deleted.
    • Text: Text content is anonymized for your privacy. We do not use your content to train AI models.

    Private vs. Public Content

    Private Content: Content you create for your personal use remains yours. We only use it to provide our services to you.

    Public Guild Content: When you share content in public guilds (teams), you grant Rimori a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute that content. This allows other users to access and use your shared exercises and learning materials. By sharing content in public guilds, you agree that this content becomes part of Rimori's learning resources.

    Data Export

    You may export your personal learning data at any time through your account settings. Please note that exported data may not include content you have shared in public guilds, as this content may be integrated into the platform's learning resources.

    Acceptable Use Policy

    When using Rimori, you agree not to:

    Prohibited Activities

    • Spam: Send unsolicited messages, advertisements, or repetitive content
    • Harassment: Harass, bully, threaten, or abuse other users
    • Illegal Content: Upload, share, or distribute illegal content or content that violates others' rights
    • Scraping: Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or collect data from Rimori
    • Bots: Use bots, scripts, or automated systems to access or interact with the platform
    • Reverse Engineering: Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from our platform (except as permitted for security research)
    • System Abuse: Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or overload our services

    Rate Limits

    We implement rate limits to ensure fair usage and system stability. Excessive use may result in temporary or permanent restrictions on your account.

    Security and Vulnerability Disclosure

    Security Research

    We welcome security researchers and ethical hackers to help us keep Rimori secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to us at contact@rimori.se.

    Penetration Testing

    Authorized penetration testing is permitted under the following conditions:

    • • Do not access or modify other users' data
    • • Do not perform destructive testing (DoS attacks, data deletion, etc.)
    • • Report all findings to contact@rimori.se before public disclosure
    • • Allow us reasonable time to address vulnerabilities before disclosure (typically 90 days)

    Responsible Disclosure

    We commit to acknowledging security reports within 48 hours and working with researchers to address valid vulnerabilities in a timely manner.

    Intellectual Property

    Rimori's Intellectual Property

    All content, features, and functionality of Rimori, including but not limited to software, text, images, logos, and trademarks, are owned by Sumday AB and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

    User Feedback

    Any feedback, suggestions, ideas, or other information you provide to us about Rimori ("Feedback") is non-confidential and becomes our sole property. We may use Feedback for any purpose, including improving our services and developing new features, without any obligation to compensate you or seek your approval.

    Trademarks

    "Rimori" and associated logos are trademarks of Sumday AB. You may not use our trademarks without our prior written permission.

    AI Features and Important Disclaimers

    AI-Generated Content

    Rimori uses artificial intelligence to generate language learning content, suggestions, and feedback. AI systems may occasionally produce inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate content.

    Data Privacy and AI

    We do not use your personal content to train AI models. Audio content is deleted after processing, and text content is kept private and anonymized. We respect your privacy and ensure your learning data remains yours.

    Not Professional Advice

    IMPORTANT: Rimori is a language learning platform and educational tool. The content and suggestions provided by Rimori, including AI-generated content, are for educational purposes only and should not be considered:

    • • Professional medical, health, or mental health advice
    • • Legal advice or legal services
    • • Financial, investment, or tax advice
    • • Professional translation services for official documents

    Always consult with qualified professionals for medical, legal, financial, or other professional matters.

    AI Safety

    You agree not to use our AI features to generate harmful, illegal, discriminatory, or abusive content. We reserve the right to monitor and restrict AI usage that violates our policies.

    Third-Party Services and Plugins

    Integrated Services

    Rimori integrates with the following third-party services:

    • • Supabase for authentication and database services
    • • Stripe for payment processing
    • • AI service providers for language learning features
    • • Push notification services for mobile notifications

    Your use of these integrated services is also subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

    Plugins

    Rimori supports various learning plugins (flashcards, discussions, storytelling, etc.). While we strive to ensure all plugins work correctly and safely, we are not responsible for issues arising from plugin use, including:

    • • Plugin functionality or availability
    • • Content generated or displayed by plugins

    Third-Party Responsibility

    We are not responsible for the actions, content, or services of third-party providers. Any disputes with third-party services should be resolved directly with those providers.

    Cookies and Local Storage

    Rimori uses local storage in your browser to maintain your login session and provide a seamless user experience. This data is stored locally on your device and is necessary for the basic functionality of our service.

    We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies without your explicit consent. For more information about how we handle your data, please see our Privacy Policy.

    Account Termination

    Termination by You

    You may delete your account at any time by navigating to Settings → Learn Preferences → Delete Account (at the bottom of the page). Upon deletion:

    • • Your personal account data will be permanently deleted
    • • Your private learning data will be removed
    • • Content you shared in public guilds may remain available to other users, as it becomes part of Rimori's shared learning resources
    • • Active subscriptions will be cancelled (no refunds for partial billing periods)

    Termination by Rimori

    We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Our typical enforcement process is:

    1. First Warning: We will notify you of the violation and request that you correct your behavior
    2. Second Violation: We may temporarily suspend your account
    3. Repeated Violations: We may permanently terminate your account

    For severe violations (such as illegal activity, harassment, or system abuse), we may terminate your account immediately without prior warning.

    Content Removal

    We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms, our community guidelines, or applicable laws. We may remove content without prior notice.

    Data Retention After Termination

    After account termination (by you or by us), we may retain certain data for backup, legal compliance, or fraud prevention purposes for a reasonable period. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

    Service Availability and Warranties

    Service Availability

    Rimori is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We may:

    • • Perform scheduled maintenance with or without notice
    • • Experience unexpected downtime or technical issues
    • • Modify or discontinue features or functionality

    No SLA Guarantee

    We do not provide uptime guarantees or service-level agreements (SLAs) for standard subscription plans. Enterprise customers may negotiate specific SLAs as part of their custom agreements.

    Disclaimer of Warranties

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RIMORI IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

    Limitation of Liability

    Liability Limitations

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SUMDAY AB, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

    • • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
    • • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
    • • Service interruptions or data loss
    • • Errors in AI-generated content or learning materials
    • • Actions or content of other users or third parties
    • • Unauthorized access to your account or data

    Maximum Liability Cap

    In any event, our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to Rimori shall not exceed the greater of:

    • • The amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or
    • • €100 (one hundred euros)

    Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sumday AB, its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

    • • Your violation of these Terms
    • • Your use or misuse of Rimori
    • • Content you upload or share
    • • Your violation of any rights of third parties

    Note: Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such cases, these limitations may not apply to you, and our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

    Disputes and Governing Law

    Governing Law

    These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

    Jurisdiction and Venue

    Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Rimori shall be resolved in the courts of Sweden. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of Swedish courts.

    Informal Dispute Resolution

    Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at contact@rimori.se to attempt to resolve any disputes informally. We commit to working with you in good faith to reach a fair resolution.

    Please allow us 30 days to respond to and attempt to resolve your concern before pursuing formal legal action.

    GDPR Rights

    If you are a resident of the European Union or European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). See our Privacy Policy for more information about your data protection rights.

    Changes to These Terms

    We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make material changes, we will:

    • • Display a notice within the Rimori app

    Your continued use of Rimori after any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using Rimori and may delete your account.

    Miscellaneous

    Entire Agreement

    These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sumday AB regarding your use of Rimori.

    Severability

    If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

    Waiver

    Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of those rights.

    Assignment

    You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account to any third party without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.

    Language

    These Terms are provided in English. In the event of any conflict between the English version and any translation, the English version shall prevail.
